This notice describes how BigDealsOff handles information in connection with bigdealsoff.com, its offer pages, buying guides and newsletter. For privacy questions or requests, contact contact@bigdealsoff.com.

Information collected through newsletter signup

When you request our weekly newsletter, the signup system records your email address, the consent wording and time, and whether your subscription is pending, confirmed or unsubscribed. It also stores information needed to issue and validate confirmation links and record whether the email service accepted a confirmation message.

Signup requires an unchecked consent box. Submitting a valid email address with consent subscribes that address immediately, and we request a welcome email. No confirmation link is required. Single opt-in does not independently verify that the person submitting the form owns the address. If you did not request the subscription, use the unsubscribe link or contact us.

How newsletter information is used

We use signup information to confirm requests, maintain subscription preferences, send the newsletter you requested and prevent abuse. The newsletter covers offers, coupons and shopping tips. You can withdraw newsletter consent using the unsubscribe link in a newsletter or by contacting us.

Unsubscribing stops future newsletter messages; it does not necessarily erase the subscription record. The signup system retains an unsubscribed status so that preferences can be respected. A new subscription request requires fresh consent through the signup form.

Site activity, cookies and service providers

Our site uses WordPress, hosting, caching, security, cookie-management and analytics tools. These services may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps and cookies. The installed tools include Google Site Kit, Google analytics/advertising scripts, PixelYourSite and CookieYes. Their actual collection depends on the services configured and your applicable consent settings.

Use the cookie controls displayed on the site to review available categories and choices. Browser settings can also restrict cookies, although some functions may be affected. This notice does not mean that every installed integration is active or that all cookies have the same purpose or duration.

Email delivery and engagement measurement

WordPress welcome emails are sent through the configured SMTP email service. BigDealsOff also has a Resend sending domain configured for email campaigns. Depending on the sending method used, email service providers process recipient addresses, message content and delivery information.

Resend open and click tracking is enabled for the BigDealsOff sending domain. Messages sent through that service may use a tracking image and redirected links to record engagement, in addition to delivery, bounce or complaint information. Open events can be affected by email-provider privacy features and are not a reliable record of whether a person read a message. This tracking does not apply automatically to all messages sent through WordPress SMTP.

Affiliate links, merchant sites and external content

BigDealsOff publishes links to merchant offers and may earn a commission from qualifying purchases. Affiliate links may pass tracking identifiers to merchants and affiliate networks, including CJ and Cuelinks, to attribute referrals. Our offer redirect system also records an aggregate outbound-click count for the offer; that counter does not identify an individual visitor.

Merchant purchases, external social profiles and embedded or linked third-party services are governed by those providers’ notices and terms. An affiliate click is not proof of a purchase. Review the merchant’s privacy and purchase terms before providing payment or account information.

Contact enquiries and access to information

If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to provide so that we can respond. Please avoid sending passwords, payment-card details or other information that is unnecessary for your enquiry.

Website hosting, email delivery, analytics and affiliate providers may process information to operate the functions described above. Some providers may process data outside your country. Their own privacy notices explain their processing practices.

Retention and your choices

Subscription and consent records remain in the signup system until managed or erased by an administrator. Older confirmation tokens, where present, expire after 48 hours; new single-opt-in signups do not use confirmation tokens. Token expiry does not automatically delete a subscriber record. Retention periods for hosting logs, backups, analytics and email-provider records depend on the relevant service settings.

You can contact contact@bigdealsoff.com to request access to, correction of or deletion of information associated with your subscription or enquiry. We may need to verify that the request comes from the relevant person. Requests are handled subject to applicable requirements and any information needed for security, legal obligations or suppression of unwanted mail.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice when our site or processing practices change. The published page will show its revision date.
